I purchased this as a gift for a grad. I was a little leery as a couple reviews questioned pic quality. But I ordered anyway, and the quality is just fine. I tested it before giving the gift to be sure. After comparing these pics to the pics from my own Olympus I bought 3 yrs ago for triple the price, the quality was the same if not better. I then went to Newegg.com and picked up a 2G Xd chip for $23.99. The internal memory only allows for 3 HQ pics, so a chip is mandatory.
The only minus I could see is the battery door doesn't seem too user friendly or sturdy with a little pushbutton to allow access but I only had to use it once to put in batteries. Maybe there's a "trick" to it. Also, the Telephoto/Wide lever is at an odd angle, but thats nitpicking and no big deal. The grad I gave it to is absolutely giddy.

Although I've only used it a few times this is a solid snap-shot camera. The pictures are of good quality that can be adjusted to increase storage capacity. i definately recommend buying a memory card.
The video is a bit choppy at 15 FPS. Was this review helpful?
