Summer Journal
When the start of school rolls around make sure your kids remember all the fun you had during the summer months. Print out this free Summer Journal at somewhatsimple.com so they can record their memories. While they may not realize it they'll also be brushing up on grammar, English and penmanship.

Reading Bingo
Elementary kids will love playing a few rounds of Reading Bingo, a free printable from meetpenny.com. Each bingo card includes age-appropriate book recommendations. Once your child reads one of the books they'll get to mark off a square on the bingo card. When they complete a column or row they'll get a prize.

Math Flash Cards
Put a summer spin on math class with free printable math flashcards at teacherspayteachers.com. They're in the shape of ice cream cones. Need something more advanced? The site also offers a free math printable that helps kids practice ordering and comparing numbers, all with a summer theme.

Summer Reading Star Game
Reading takes center stage with the adorable Summer Reading Star free printable available at howdoesshe.com. Set rewards for your kids when they complete reading tasks. (Bowling, ice cream or water slide, perhaps?) Not only will they have fun reading, but they'll have a blast getting rewards too.
