Heart disease kills more women than all forms of cancer combined. The American Heart Association is using that shocking statistic to encourage women to go red on National Wear Red Day, February 7, 2014. For the tenth year in a row women everywhere will be wearing red and supporting the American Heart Association through ways like these.

Upload Your Photo
Are you wearing red? Prove that you're taking part in the Go Red Challenge by uploading your photo at goredforwomen.org. You can show off a photo saved on your computer or use one that you posted on your Facebook or Instagram account. You can also snap one instantly with your webcam.

Set Up a Fundraising Page
Tap into the power of your social networks and create a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Find everything you need to get started at goredforwomen.org. Set a goal anywhere from $500 to $25,000 and get started!

Wear a Tank
Show your support with the Go Red for Women Painted Heart Tank. It's $22 at shop.heart.org and all profits benefit the mission of the American Heart Association.

Use the #GoRedChallenge Hashtag
When you tweet or post your support of National Wear Red Day be sure to use the #GoRedChallenge hashtag. You'll also be able to vote for others who have posted photos using the hashtag.

Give Away Knowledge
Pick up a pack of 25 Go Red For Women Lapel Pins for $16 and give them to the women in your life. Each one is attached to a card with statistics about the dangers of heart disease as well as where to go for more information. Helping to spread knowledge may be enough to stop heart disease in our lifetime.
