School's out for summer! But for parents that means trying to fill the next three months with educational and fun activities that won't put a crimp in the budget. Thankfully there are lots of options that will keep kids entertained and informed.

Free Factory Tours
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how things are manufactured with a free factory tour. Learn how BMWs are built in South Carolina or how Carreta Candy is made in Arizona. Find a full list of free factory tours at factorytourusa.com.

Free Bowling
When kids register at kidsbowlfree.com they'll receive two free games of bowling every day all summer long. It's a value worth over $500 per child. Since the program was created more than five million kids have participated.

Free Summer Reading Programs
Keep kids excited about learning all summer long with a free summer reading program. Check out this list we created that includes several ways kids can earn free books this summer.

Free Summer Movies
Movie theaters across the country are welcoming children and their parents in for free movies throughout the summer. At REI Cinemas there is a free showing every Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Muvico's free summer film fest begins June 11 and runs until August 15. Children are free and adult tickets are just $2 at Cinemaworld's Summer KidFest 2013.

Book Fairs and Festivals
Attendance at a book fair or festival is usually free and includes lots of fun activities that kids will enjoy including meeting authors. Find out if a book fair is happening in your area this summer by reviewing the list found at sanfranciscobookreview.com.

Free Swimming Lesson
Participate in The World's Largest Swimming Lesson and help set a new world record. On June 18 people around the world will jump in a pool for some fun and instruction. Find a free swimming lesson in your area by visiting worldslargestswimminglesson.org.

Free Computer Classes
Apple and Microsoft are both offering free summer camps for kids this summer. At an Apple retail store your youngster can learn how to make a movie during a three-day workshop. Kids can choose between five different camps happening at Microsoft retail locations. They can learn how to create an app, design a slideshow or program a video game.

Free Camping
Borrow some gear from an outdoorsy friend and load the family up for a camping trip. With the help of Freecampsites.net you'll be able to pinpoint a recreational area that doesn't charge any fees. But the memories you'll create this summer will be priceless.
