According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, childhood obesity has more than doubled in children and tripled in adolescents in the past 30 years. In 1980 just 7 percent of children between the ages of 6-11 were considered obese. But now 18 percent fall into that category. May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, a great time to spread the word about the benefits of being active. Need some ideas for encouraging your kids to move?
