Millions of people are victims of Hurricane Sandy. Some lost their homes, others lost their lives. In the wake of this unprecedented weather event, do your part to help those caught in Sandy's path.

Donate Blood The Red Cross is urging people to donate blood to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Blood and platelet donations are low in many parts of the northeast. To schedule a donation time in your area visit redcrossblood.org.

Help the Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is on the ground in several parts of the northeast providing food and shelter for thousands of people throughout New Jersey, New York, Maryland, West Virginia and more. You can help by contributing $10 to relief efforts by messaging the word STORM to 80888 and confirming your donation with the word "Yes." Right now the Salvation Army is not collecting in kind donations like clothing and household items for hurricane relief.

Clean Up Debris
Samaritan's Purse is rallying volunteers to help with storm cleanup. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Meals and sleeping quarters will be provided, but volunteers need to bring an air mattress, sleeping bag, towels and personal hygiene items.

Support the Humane Society
The Humane Society is working to help pets impacted by Sandy in New Jersey and New York. They're asking for donations to help them continue disaster relief efforts. Donate at HumaneSociety.org.

Pray for Survivors
In addition to handing out hygiene kits and school supplies to impacted families, relief organization World Vision is asking people to pray for the survivors of Hurricane Sandy. You are also welcome to make a donation to their US disaster relief fund.
