Do you dread the idea of joining the herd of parents hunting down this holiday season’s hottest toys? Do you fear being forced to visit store after store only to find empty shelves instead of what’s on your child’s wish list? Here’s a new way to make sure the hottest holiday toys are under your Christmas tree.

Check the List Toys R Us is revealing a new way to ensure parents get exactly what their kids want this holiday season with the new Hot Toy Reservation system. The first step for participating is to review the 2012 Holiday Hot Toy List.

Print and Mark
Print off the 2012 Holiday Hot Toy List. Fill out your name, email and the items you want. Everything on the list is guaranteed to be in your hands and under your tree in time for Christmas.

Visit the Store
Next you must take your completed list to your local Toys R Us store. Head to the Guest Services desk and sign up for the program.

Make a Deposit
In order to make sure that those hot holiday toys have your name on them, you must make a 20 percent deposit. That deposit is non-refundable. Keep in mind that you can’t make changes to this Hot Toy order. If your child changes their mind between now and Christmas, you’ll have to cancel your order and forfeit that deposit.

Pay Your Balance
When your order is ready, the store will contact you. You must pick up your order by December 16 and have your full balance paid at that time. If you don’t pick up your order by December 16 the items will be returned to inventory and could be sold to someone else. But once you’ve paid for them, the toys are yours.
