October is National Bullying Prevention Month and a great time to do your part to stand up against bullies. Use these free tools to put a stop to bullying.

Wear Orange
People all around the country will be wearing orange this month—including talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Orange is the color associated with National Bullying Prevention Month so wearing it reminds people about the importance of bullying prevention.

Assess the Situation
Is bullying really a problem at your school or your child’s school? Find out through an assessment. By asking students and teachers to share their thoughts related to bullying you’ll be better able to develop an appropriate strategy. Get free help creating an assessment at stopbullying.gov.

Take the Comic Challenge
Bullying may be a serious topic, but you can still have fun putting a stop to it. Take the Comic Challenge from Cartoon Network by adding to the comic gallery. You can also download the free Stop Bullying Speak Up Comic Book to see what other students are talking about.

Report a Bully
