It’s time once again to think pink and do your part to conquer breast cancer. According to The National Cancer Institute, roughly one in eight women will receive a breast cancer diagnosis in her lifetime. But if we all take simple steps like these we’ll get closer to a cure.

Buy Coffee
Caribou Coffee just launched its 2011 Amy’s Collection, named for 33-year-old roastmaster Amy Erickson who lost her battle with breast cancer. Ten percent of every purchase from this collection is donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Click Your Mouse
Head to Thebreastcancersite.com and click on the pink box to give women free mammograms. You can click daily so return to the site often to click in support of early cancer detection.

Save Lids and Save Lives
Yoplait donates $.10 from every pink lid redeemed before the end of the year up to $2 million dollars. The money will benefit breast cancer outreach programs and research. Save some postage and do it online at Yoplait.com.

Stock Up on Beauty Products
Chances are you need some makeup or moisturizer anyway. With Sephora’s Beauty with a Cause campaign you can make a difference with your purchase. A portion of the proceeds benefits organizations that are raising awareness and searching for a cure.

Send a Friend a Gift on Facebook
Head to the Pink Together Facebook page to send friends a free message of hope. For every gift sent in October, Pink Together will donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, up to $25,000.

Get Fit at Curves
Curves, a nationwide gym for women, is raising awareness about the importance of early detection by waiving the joining fee for new members who can show proof of a mammogram within the last year or those who make a $25 donation to breast cancer research. Working out three times a week can reduce your risk of developing breast cancer. Learn more...

Eat a Pink Ribbon Bagel
This is the 10th year of the Pink Ribbon Bagel at Panera’s bakery cafes. A portion of the proceeds benefits a variety of breast cancer causes.

Plant a Virtual Tulip
Caribou Coffee teamed up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to plant tulips in honor of roastmaster Amy Erickson and others impacted by breast cancer. When you plant a virtual tulip on the Caribou Coffee Facebook page, they’ll plant a real one in Brookside Gardens in Washington DC.

Indulge in Something Sweet
Until the end of October you may spot pink cookies in restaurants around the country. The Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies for a Cause program supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure by selling chocolate cookies embedded with pink candy-coated chocolate pieces.

Stock up on Stylish Cards
Actress and breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate teamed up with TinyPrints.com to create a beautiful collection of cards in support of breast cancer awareness. A portion of every purchase benefits Christina’s foundation called Right Action for Women. RAW’s mission is to educate women about the importance of screenings.
