In honor of Father’s Day we decided to put a fatherly spin on our latest Twitter and Facebook poll. We wanted to know about the best advice your dad gave you. Turns out some of you have some pretty wise papas.

@amandabrasier: Live on your own for at least a year (so later in life, you remember that you are strong enough to take care of yourself).

@NosyFoodDude: Don't be afraid to ask for anything because, "All they can say is 'No'!"

@PubSlide: Just because a light is green doesn't mean go (look both ways 1st). Applies to life too. My dad also told me to have FUN. He lived, more than preached it. Also impressed the importance of standing your ground.
