Few decisions are more critical in a kid’s life than the wardrobe choice for the first day of school. It ranks right up there with who to take to prom and what college to attend. Just because you’re trying to keep clothing expenditures to a minimum doesn’t mean your child has to be sentenced to a school year of misery for dressing like a dork. Here are some cheap back-to-school clothes that don’t look cheap - plus, save even more cash on these great clothes by checking out the coupons & sales at the UltimateCoupons Back to School Sale page!

WalMart - Walmart—yes, Walmart has cool clothes. Check out the new line from Miley Cyrus and Max Azria where pieces start at just $6. There’s almost no celeb as hot as Miley these days, so wearing her clothing line will earn your kids some cool points. Just be aware that the line is selling faster than Jonas Brothers’ concert tickets so availability might be limited.

Kohl's - Sometimes with clothes it’s less about the look and more about who else is wearing them. Britney Spears is sporting Candie's from Kohls these days. There’s an entire line of clothing, shoes, and accessories at very affordable prices.

JC Penney - For teens who love Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat collection, and for parents who don’t like the price tags attached to it, check out JC Penney’s Fabulosity line. The tops, jeans, skirts, accessories, and shoes have a similar feel to the designer fashion trends without the hefty price tag.

Macy's - Is your little one a fan of Beyonce? Check out the Dereon clothing line at Macy's. The company’s creative director is Beyonce’s mom and the styles are inspired by the famous singer’s style. Right now some of the pieces are more than half off.

Target - It’s hard to find a boy that doesn’t dig Shaun White’s skateboarding skills. Even if they can’t perfect the Ollie, at least they can look good while trying in Shaun White's clothing line for Target. T-shirts start at just $7.99 and right now you’ll get free shipping when you spend $50.
