Halloween looks like a bright spot for the economy. According to the National Retail Federation, spending for this spooky holiday will reach $5.77 billion with the average person unloading $66.54 on Halloween stuff like costumes, decorations and of course, candy. The average person will spend over $20 on mini chocolate bars and tiny boxes of Nerds. If you plan to snag some sugar to hand out to all of those Hannah Montanas and super heroes that knock on your door, we’ve got some candy coupons and deals that add up to some sweet savings.

CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens—they’re all competing for your candy dollars. Weekly ads already highlight deep discounts. At CVS this week it’s buy 1 get 1 free on Hershey’s snack size candy. At Rite Aid fun size bagged candy is $1.99 a bag.
Shop Online
Online retailers are offering some pretty sweet deals on candy. At OrientalTrading.com pick up some cherry filled gumball eyes for $3.74. That’s just $.05 a piece. Plus you’ll earn points from the kiddies for the gross-factor.

Hold Out
If you can wait until just before Halloween to stock up on your goodies, you’ll get the best bargains. Most stores start slashing prices the week of October 31. You’ll get a lot more sugar for your buck.
