Although we posted this deal earlier in the summer, it's worth another mention with school slated to begin soon: The Apple Store is offering a free iPod with the purchase of a Mac to all students, teachers, and support staff. You'll need to add the 8GB iPod touch or 8GB nano and a MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro to your cart along with your education I.D. information. The price of the iPod will then be refunded via online rebate. Offer ends 09/15/2008.
