The format war is over. Did you pick the right side? Toshiba, the father of the HD DVD format, today announced that it will no longer develop or manufacture HD DVD players. The announcement follows several weeks of stunning wins for the Blu-ray format, with Warner Bros., Netflix, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy all siding up with the Blu-ray camp. Expect massive price cuts on HD DVD movies and players in the coming weeks.
